system. This is a fairly early one from the mid 60s, it has the speaker On/Off switch and headphone jack on the front panel (later models deleted the jack and switch).
These systems were quite expensive when new and were sold in Hi-Fi shops, not department stores. They were made with thick, high quality walnut veneer, and the amplifier electronics and speakers were designed by Henry Kloss, a legend in the early years of hi-fi audio.
The stylus/needle is a modern replacement for the original Pickering.
Some signs of previous use remain, this system is nearing 60 years old. The speakers and base unit have some minor repair to the corners and a few marks that could not be sanded out.
NO plastic dust cover on the base. The turntable platter is a little bit dried out.
The KLH Twenty Four speakers are true bookshelf size (18" x 7.5" x 10.25") and are perfectly matched to the amplifier, providing a balanced sound with plenty of bass.
The KLH/Garrard turntable is simple to operate and you can stack up to 7 or 8 records on the changer spindle and let it play for hours.
Also included are the single play spindle and stacking spindle for the turntable, and two speaker cables. This will be very well packed to avoid damage in shipping- The shipment will be insured, and depending on ebay policy may require a signature at delivery.
